Dreams
Wet Dreams By J. Foley
WET DREAMS are sometimes called "nocturnal emissions. They are caused by sexual excitement from dreams, and or by physical stimulation like rubbing against blankets, the bed, or a full bladder. Wet dreams are typically associated with adolescent boys; however, they are just as common for men between the ages of 20-35. Wet dreams are also more common in men, because a man's penis gets more tactile stimulation (physical touch) during sleep than a woman's clitoris. These types of dreams are generally defined as erotic dreams that culminate with an orgasm.
Wet dreams are subconscious and can be about taboo subjects like sex in public, rape, group sex, incest or sex with an older person. They are just your hormones finding a healthy release. Some say that wet dreams are actually related to the build up of sperm and semen that is not released during intercourse or masturbation, both of which would relieve the pressure and hence, wet dreams would end. Although wet dreams are most common among teenage guys, many men also have nocturnal emissions as adults.
Some wet dreams are no doubt associated with actual sexual dreams, but some are not. Wet dreams are a totally normal function of the body and not something that can be controlled. Most boys experience wet dreams between the ages of 12 to 18. Not all boys have wet dreams and that's okay too, it doesn't mean anything is wrong with you.
Doctors believe that wet dreams are related to how often you masturbate, and they are healthy and natural and, usually pleasant, so there's nothing to be embarrassed about. They are a perfectly normal part of being a male, and can actually happen at any age.
Masturbation can, but won't always, put a stop to frequent wet dreams. These dreams do not signal a sexual abnormality or mean you are sexually deviant. Wet dreams have nothing to do with being gay or straight, the type of wet dreams you have in no way represent your sexuality. Also dreams about taboo subjects like; incest, animals, rape, sex with a superior or elder, public sex, group sex, and homosexuality are common and do not have anything to do with your waking sexual preferences (it doesn't mean you secretly want to do these things).
While wet dreams are more prevalent among teens, older men and women can also experience these overnight orgasms. As an adult man who has had three wet dreams per month over the last three months, and has discussed the causes of wet dreams at length on Wet Dream Forum (a forum for men who want to have wet dreams) here is my answer: Wet dreams are natural and normal, but they tend to become infrequent or stop when waking ejaculations become frequent.

Have you ever had a lucid dream that became a WD? How would you compare the process of becoming a lucid dreamer to the process of cultivating wet dreams? My impression is that becoming lucid is far more intentional. Getting wet dreams is about abstaining from waking ejaculation and waiting. What is your view?

Thanks for your comment Ryan. I have yet got to the point of actually experiencing a dream lucidly, but the rest of what you stated I totally agree with.
Thanks again Ryan,
