Chase Dreams By J. Foley
Chase dreams are frightening because we believe they are real at the time. Remember that the rational part of our brain is not active while we dream. Being chased in dreams will usually occur when you feel threatened by some waking life situation or person. The origin of this dream dates back to when being attacked was not that unusual.
Feelings like anxiety, anger, hatred and jealousy could trigger chase dreams. In addition dreams where you are trying to run away but can?t, because your legs won?t move are a sign that you feel stuck and essentially immobile in the face of whatever it is you fear. The same goes for dreams where you scream but no sound comes out. Chase dreams can also be a reflection of more personal inner threats.
I dream a lot, but I don't always remember my dreams the next morning, but there are a few dreams that I remember quite vividly, but chase dreams seem to elude me on occasion. The details of my chase dreams are cloudy somtimes, but I do remember how infuriating it was, as well as a bit terrifying.
I don't think Dream Interpretation is an exact science, but I've always been fascinated by the subconscious and the psyche, so I'm open to the possibility that there is more to your dreams then just a random series of events that makes absolutely no sense. Nevertheless, I think paying attention more to your dreams is an absolute must, certainly to help you evaluate and understand just what is going on in your life that's triggering such visions.
